We hunt a wide variety of private and public land in both Lake of the Woods & Koochiching Counties. Our hunting area includes the two largest state forests in Minnesota-- Beltrami Island State Forest (669, 000 acres) and Pine Island State Forest (878,040 acres). The hunting land is dense with cedar, balsam fir, tamarack, aspen, spruce, birch and willow. Smaller acreages of hardwoods such as ash, elm and oak are interspersed. Much of the hunting area consists of level terrain with swamp and bog areas, remnants of the ancient glacial Lake Agassiz. The area is home to diverse wildlife including whitetail deer, black bear, ruffed grouse, bobcat, moose, timber wolves, beaver, otter, fisher and martin.
